2. Hosting and server log files

This website runs on a server we operate at IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany (data center in the EU). When pages are requested, the web server technically processes the IP address, date and time, the requested URL, the HTTP status, and the browser identifier, and keeps them briefly in log files.

The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website and the detection and prevention of attacks (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not merged with other data, are not used to analyze user behavior, and are deleted once they are no longer required for these purposes — usually after a few weeks.

3. Contact form (ticket system)

If you write to us via the contact form, we store the details you enter (name or nickname, email address, category, subject, message) to handle your request and reply by email (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

In addition, to prevent abuse and spam, we store the sender's IP address and browser identifier (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Both are removed automatically no later than 90 days after receipt. The request itself is kept as long as needed for processing and possible follow-ups; we delete it earlier on request.

Reply emails are sent via the mail server of our email provider STRATO (Berlin, Germany).

4. Cookies and local storage

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only items used are:

• One technically necessary session cookie (PHP session). It serves the contact form's spam protection, the login of the internal admin area, and avoids double-counting in the anonymous visitor statistics within a day. It contains only a random session identifier, is deleted when you close your browser, and is permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG.
• One local storage entry (seaLang) remembers your language choice (German/English). It stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.

5. Visitor statistics (no tracking)

To see how many people use the website, we count page views ourselves — without any third-party service. We store daily counters per page only: the date, the page name, and the number of views and visits. A "visit" is the first page view of a browser session on the given day.

No IP address, no browser identifier, no location, and no other identifier is stored; identifying individual persons is not possible. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the reach of our own website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Download counter

When the SEA setup is downloaded, we count the number of downloads per day and file name. No personal data is stored here either.

7. Fonts and external content

All fonts and other resources of this website are hosted on our own server. Opening the pages establishes no connections to third parties (e.g. Google Fonts, CDNs, or social networks).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). Simply contact us at the email address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI).
