What does this setting do?

This switch is the counterpart to third person and is on by default. In practice it is rarely touched, because first person is what almost everyone expects.

There is exactly one reason to turn it off: a server deliberately meant to be played in third person only. That happens, but it is unusual – mostly on roleplay and building servers that want to show their world from above like a board game.

The combination matters. Both switches off gives you an unplayable server: no view remains in which anyone could move. That is not a theoretical danger but a mistake that genuinely happens when clicking quickly through a configuration.

If you want a pure first-person experience, leave this switch on and turn third person off – not the other way round.

Which value suits my server?

Relaxed PvE

On.

Classic PvP

On. Even on first-person-only servers this is precisely the switch that stays on.

Hardcore

On.

What to watch out for

Both views off does not work

With first person and third person both forbidden, no playable view remains. Always look at the two values together.

The wrong switch for first-person servers

If you want first person only, turn third person off, not this one.
