What does this setting do?

Anyone wanting to move their protected window without waiting out the cooldown can pay for it. This value is the price, 10g by default – ten gold coins.

The notation is unusual and the most important thing about this setting: the appended letter defines the currency. 10g means ten gold; a figure without a letter is read as ordinary money. Gold is the scarce currency on most servers, and that is the point: the price should be felt, not paid in passing.

The value is therefore the release valve on the cooldown. A long cooldown with a high price means the window is a commitment and deviations cost properly. A long cooldown with a low price means, in practice, no cooldown at all.

When setting it, consider how easily gold is obtained on your server. On a generous economy ten gold is nothing; on a tight one it is a serious hurdle.

Which value suits my server?

Relaxed PvE

5g. Enough to slow down arbitrary moves.

Classic PvP

10g (default).

Hardcore

30g or more. Moving your window should cost.

What to watch out for

The g belongs there

Without the appended letter the amount is not read as gold. 10g then becomes a far smaller hurdle.

It belongs with the cooldown

The price is the exception to the rule. Set both values together or one of them does nothing.
