Cooldown for changing the protected window
How long a flag owner must wait before moving their protected window again.
scum.RaidProtectionFlagSpecificChangeSettingCooldown=120:00:00
What does this setting do?
Once every flag owner picks their own protected window, the question of how often they may change it arises immediately. Without a limit you would simply move it to wherever an attack is looming. This cooldown prevents that, at 120 hours by default – five days.
Five days is deliberately long. It turns the protected window into a decision rather than a tool: you set it once to your own sleeping hours and live with it. That is precisely the point of flag-specific protection.
Shorten it considerably and be aware that you are softening the whole system. At one day's cooldown, protection can be moved practically on demand.
Anyone unwilling to wait out the cooldown can skip it for money – how much that costs lives in its own value.
The format is hours:minutes:seconds, and three-digit hour counts are valid. 168:00:00 is one week.
Which value suits my server?
48:00:00. Two days is enough where raids are rare.
120:00:00 (default). The window should be a commitment.
168:00:00. Once a week, no more.
What to watch out for
Someone allowed to move their window daily will always move it to wherever the danger is. Protection then stops being a decision.
The skip price belongs in the same consideration. A low price makes a long cooldown pointless.
