What does this setting do?

The format is hours:minutes:seconds. Protection does not apply the moment someone logs out but only after this delay — 30 minutes by default.

This delay is the most important part of offline protection, because it prevents the obvious abuse: without it a defender could log out mid-raid and make their base untouchable. Half an hour gives attackers enough time to finish a raid they have started.

Only effective when offline protection is the selected protection type.

Which value suits my server?

Relaxed PvE

00:15:00. Short, since raids are the exception anyway.

Classic PvP

00:30:00 (default) to 01:00:00.

Hardcore

01:00:00 and up. Logging out is not a defence.

What to watch out for

Too short is an invitation to abuse

Below ten minutes, logging out becomes the most effective defensive tactic on the server. The delay has to outlast a typical raid or it defeats its own purpose.

Disconnects count too

Anyone dropped involuntarily sits in the same window. On servers with shaky connections, be generous.
