What does this setting do?
Not a persistent state but a one-off command in switch form: if the value is true at server start, all gold held by all players is deleted.
Gold is SCUM's hard currency and accumulates with the regulars over months. A gold wipe is therefore an economic restart without losing equipment or bases — the gentler option compared with a full wipe when prices have run away.
Afterwards set it back to false, or every restart wipes again.

What to watch out for
Leave the switch on and every restart wipes again
The most common mistake with all wipe switches. Reset it immediately after the intended run.

Gold from the free gold card is included. Whether it is granted again is governed by its own setting.
