What does this setting do?

SCUM gives players small gifts at intervals – a reward for showing up at all. This switch takes them away.

The wording is negative again: Disable, so on means no gifts. It ships as off, so the gifts arrive.

Whether to keep them is a question of your server's economy. On a server with tight loot and expensive traders, regular gifts carry weight: they supply every player regardless of skill and take some of the bite out of scarcity.

On normally configured servers you barely notice them, and for casual players they are a friendly gesture. If you want a harsh, bare island, switch them off – if you want to keep people, leave them on.

Which value suits my server?

Relaxed PvE

Off (gifts stay). A nice gesture with little effect.

Classic PvP

Off (gifts stay).

Hardcore

On (no gifts). Everything has to be earned.

What to watch out for

The switch is worded negatively

True disables the gifts, False lets them arrive.
