What does this setting do?

When a base element is destroyed, the server writes that element's last ten damage events to a log. That is exactly the basis for reconstructing a raid afterwards: who, when, with what.

So the log does not fill up with background noise, only hits above a certain strength are recorded. This value is that threshold, 20 by default. Small scratches – a grazing shot, a bump from a vehicle – stay out.

To follow raids in detail, lower the threshold. At 5 practically every hit appears, and you can see the groundwork done with light weapons. The price is a considerably larger log, and because only ten events per element are kept, too low a threshold can actually hurt: those ten slots fill with trivia and the decisive heavy hit drops out.

That is the point worth knowing. For clean raid analysis a middling threshold beats the lowest one.

Which value suits my server?

Relaxed PvE

20 (default). Raids are rare here; the log serves troubleshooting.

Classic PvP

5 to 20. With many raid complaints, lower it carefully.

Hardcore

20 (default).

What to watch out for

Only ten events per element

Too low a threshold fills those ten slots with minor damage and pushes out the very hit that matters.

Logging happens on destruction

Elements that survive a raid never appear. The log shows losses, not attacks.
