Yield of the first harvest
Changes the chance that produce appears when a plant is harvested for the first time.
scum.FirstPlantHarvestAdditionalChance=1.000000
What does this setting do?
Plants can be harvested several times, and the first harvest is a case of its own. This multiplier changes the chance that anything comes of it at all.
The distinction matters because it explains why gardening in SCUM feels sluggish at the start. Lay out three plots, harvest almost nothing on the first pass, and you quickly conclude farming is pointless – and stop. A multiplier of 2.0 on the first harvest fixes exactly that impression without making well-run gardens permanently more productive.
That is where its real value lies: this is an onboarding switch, not a yield switch. It makes the beginning friendlier and leaves the balance of later harvests untouched.
To make farming more rewarding overall, this value alone will not get you far – the harvest window is the better lever then.
Which value suits my server?
1.0 to 2.0. Getting into gardening should not be frustrating.
1.0 (default).
0.5 to 1.0. Farming is work.
What to watch out for
Later harvests of the same plant are untouched. If you want permanently higher yields, this is the wrong value.
