How much loot appears
Multiplier on the chance that a spawn point produces anything at all.
scum.SpawnerProbabilityMultiplier=1.000000
What does this setting do?
This is the central loot setting. SCUM distributes items through spawn points, each of which produces something with a given probability. This multiplier changes that probability for every point at once. At 2.0 each point yields something twice as often; at 0.5 only half as often.
Important to understand: the value does not change what appears, only how often. A rare rifle stays proportionally just as rare — there is simply something in more buildings at all. To make specific items more common you need the loot configuration in separate files, not this value.
The multiplier works together with spawn point expiration. Plenty of loot that lingers adds up over hours into full houses — two values that have to be considered together.
Which value suits my server?
1.5 to 2.5. New players find a basic kit quickly.
1.0. Scarcity is the engine of conflict.
0.5 to 0.8. Every find counts.
What to watch out for
If every house holds ammunition, nobody needs traders or a workbench. On servers with a developed economy, too much loot is the silent killer of every other mechanic.
Every item lying around is managed. At very high values with many players that adds up measurably, especially in towns.
