What does this setting do?

This is not a gameplay value but a troubleshooting tool. It monitors the server's network layer and raises a flag when something there falls out of line. It is off by default.

Enabling it is worthwhile exactly when you are investigating a concrete, recurring network problem: disconnections at certain times, players dropping out in groups, or delays that the tick rate does not explain. For anything else it only produces noise.

Run permanently it costs performance, and precisely where there is none to spare when problems occur. That is why it does not ship enabled.

If you switch it on, plan the switch-off at the same time: one session in which the problem occurs, then off again. On rented servers it is worth asking your provider beforehand whether the output is accessible at all – without access to the logs the tool gains you nothing.

Which value suits my server?

Relaxed PvE

Classic PvP

Off.

Hardcore

Off. Nothing to do with difficulty.

What to watch out for

It costs performance when left on

The tool works exactly where network problems already leave nothing to spare. Enable it deliberately and for a limited time.

Useless without log access

On rented servers you cannot always reach the output. Clarify first or it runs for nothing.
