At how many elements the siege ends
The siege stops once the base has been shot down to this size. 50 elements by default.
scum.BaseBuildingEncounterMinNumElementsToEnd=-1
What does this setting do?
A base siege does not run forever and not to total destruction. It ends as soon as only as many elements remain standing as this value states – 50 by default, since the default of -1 stands for that number.
The gap between the start and end thresholds is therefore the damage a siege is allowed to do. At the defaults that is 100 minus 50, so half the base. Move this value closer to the start threshold and sieges become considerably milder: at 90 against 100, ten elements are missing afterwards and the rest is repair work.
This is the calmest way to make sieges bearable without switching them off. The event plays out fully, the attackers arrive, shots are fired – but the loss stays manageable.
This value has to sit below the start threshold. Set higher, the end condition is already met when the siege begins – not a state to rely on.
Which value suits my server?
100 to 200, just under the start threshold. The siege costs materials, not the base.
-1 (equals 50).
20 to 40. A siege should hurt.
What to watch out for
Otherwise the stop condition is already satisfied at the beginning. Always set both values together.
Raise the start threshold and leave this at -1 and you permit sieges that grind a 250-element base down to 50.
